From the Netherlands or Belgium
From Paris via the A71 you go towards Clermont-Ferrand and later also Montluçon. Take the "Montluçon" exit on the A714 and soon afterwards take the exit 35 "Commentry" and "Néris-les-Bains". Initially stick to "Commentry" (instead of "Chamblet"): that route is more pleasant with a caravan or camper. Eventually you reach the D2144, which leads south to Clermont-Ferrand. Take the exit to Ronnet on the right and past Ronnet follow the campsite signs.
NB!
With our address (Lieu-dit La Chassagne, Ronnet) in your navigation system you will arrive at our house, but that is not where you need to be. If you drive up the dead-end driveway to our house, you will hardly have room to turn around with a caravan or camper. The entrance to the campsite is about 100 meters before the driveway of our house.
So when you have almost reached your destination, you should ignore the instructions of your navigation system and look for the flag and sign of the campsite where you have to turn left. It is just after a bend to the left.
Tip for driving around Paris
From the north you can continue following 'Bordeaux'. You will then end up on the A86. It is a bit further drive but probably not as busy as Boulevard Périphérique. From the south you can continue following 'Lille'.
